VAIPOSA aims at developing a comprehensive and verifiable PNT solution, integrating classical GNSS-based algorithms with data-driven methods based on Deep Learning and SLAM. The project builds on the following previous works:
Colmap-SLAM, a framework for visual odometry developed by the 3DOM unit of FBK.
VIVAS, a framework for simulation-based testing of autonomous systems with AI components, co-developed by the FM unit of FBK in a previous ESA-funded project.
CARLA, an open-source simulator for autonomous driving systems.
